GADA operates in accordance with national legislation and international standards. Under the law, the National Anti-Doping Organization is responsible for developing, coordinating, and monitoring the national anti-doping program, and for handling all potential anti-doping rule violations within its jurisdiction.
GADA is the authority entrusted with implementing all aspects of doping control. In addition, its mandate includes:
– investigating and prosecuting all potential anti-doping rule violations,
– examining the involvement of athlete support personnel or other individuals in each incident,
– ensuring the proper enforcement of sanctions,
– planning and delivering anti-doping education,
– and promoting compliance with the requirements of the International Standard for Education.
