Antidoping seminar with athletes of the Gamma
Anti-doping education promotes increased awareness, greater responsibility, and adherence to ethical standards in sport. It is based not only on rules and prohibitions, but also on deep knowledge and the ability to make the right decisions.
That is why education is considered a key tool in the prevention of doping and the protection of clean sport.
On 29 December of the current year, the Education Program Coordinator of the Georgian Anti-Doping Agency, Khatia Bakhsoliani, conducted a seminar for the athletes and athlete support personnel of the GAMMA - Georgian Bare--Knuckle National Sport Federation
During the seminar, participants were introduced to the following topics:
Clean sport and the role and value of the athlete;
The World Anti-Doping Code;
The Georgian anti-doping rules;
The list of prohibited substances and methods;
Athletes’ rights and responsibilities;
Doping control procedures;
Anti-doping rule violations;
Management of an athlete’s steroid profile and biological passport;
Management of testing results.
