Anti-Doping seminar with athletes from the Georgian Boxing and Judo National Federations

On May 21 of this year, in Borjomi and Bakuriani, Khatia Bakhsaliani, the Education Program Coordinator of the Georgian Anti-Doping Agency, conducted a seminar for athletes from the boxing and judo federations.
It is worth noting that education is one of the fundamental components of anti-doping programs, as it allows for the effective implementation of preventive measures at all levels of sport. The purpose of education is to inform athletes, their support personnel, and other interested parties about the dangers and harms of doping, as well as to strengthen the values of clean sport.
Anti-doping education helps to raise awareness, increase responsibility, and promote the observance of ethical standards in sport. It is based not only on rules and prohibitions but also on deep knowledge and the ability to make informed decisions. That is why education is considered an essential tool for preventing doping and protecting the integrity of sport.
Why are informational meetings and seminars necessary?
Informational meetings and seminars are important tools in the field of anti-doping for several reasons:
✅ Enhancing knowledge: They provide participants with in-depth and easily understandable information about the rules and risks associated with doping.
✅ Increasing responsibility: The audience gains a better understanding of their roles and responsibilities in protecting clean sport.
✅ Strengthening ethical values: These meetings and seminars emphasize the importance of ethical principles in sport and the principles of fair play.
✅ Addressing questions: This format ensures interactive discussions — participants can ask questions and receive accurate, reliable answers.
✅ Updating information: Anti-doping policies and prohibited lists are often updated, so seminars help participants stay up to date and adapt to current requirements.
