Annual Symposium 2024

I will inform you that on March 12-13, 2024, a symposium organized by the World Anti-Doping Agency was held in the city of Lausanne, Switzerland, which was attended by representatives of the World Anti-Doping Agency, national anti-doping organizations, the International Olympic Committee and the International Sports Federation. - The chairman of the agency and the doping control coordinator were seconded from the doping agency.
During the course of the symposium, 15 sessions-meetings were held for 2 days, which were attended by the representatives of the Anti-Doping Agency of Georgia.
The chairman of the agency, Pavle Kasradze, participated in the sessions, which were related to the strengthening of the intelligence and investigative capabilities of the following: world issues: implementation of tools for analysis and evaluation of the activities of national anti-doping agencies by the European Anti-Doping Agency; simulated hearing of anti-doping cases; Operational independence of national anti-doping organizations:Sharing of experience and perspectives of the 2027 Code, the role of the European Union in the fight against illegal trafficking and doping production of performance-enhancing drugs: the cooperation of the World Anti-Doping Agency with international organizations; the creation of a global anti-doping intelligence and investigation system,Implementation of the World Anti-Doping Code into national legislation; the need for cooperation between national anti-doping organizations and international federations during the preparation period for the Olympic Games; human rights and anti-doping; prevalence of doping in sports: development and implementation of the index of prevalence of doping; the idea of the future of anti-doping research and The role of artificial intelligence. Doping Control Testing Coordinator Giorgi Macharashvili took part in the sessions, which were related to the following issues: strengthening of European intelligence and investigation capabilities, blood doping: trends and perspectives, management of information about whereabouts and case review strategies, cooperation of the World Anti-Doping Agency with international organizations;
Development of global anti-doping intelligence and program; Prospects of introduction of dry blood testing method by anti-doping organizations; Necessity of cooperation of national anti-doping organizations and international federations in the preparation period for the Olympic Games; Human rights and anti-doping; Doping control testing for beginners; the idea of the future of anti-doping research and the role of artificial intelligence in it. Also I will inform you that within the framework of the visit, a meeting was held between the representatives of the World Anti-Doping Agency of Eastern Europe and Central European countries, organized by the Central European Anti-Doping Organization (CEADO).
