Visit of representatives of the Anti-Doping Organization of Norway (ADNO)

I will inform you that from March 28 to 31, 2022, the study visit of Kate Langvik, director of operations of the Norwegian Anti-Doping Organization (ADNO) and Martin Halmland Lawsen, director of international relations and medical direction, took place in Georgia.As you already know, the partnership of the Georgian Anti-Doping Agency and the Norwegian Anti-Doping Agency and their support played a decisive role in the work process of implementing the remarks and recommendations presented in the World Anti-Doping Agency's audit corrective action report. At the end of 2022 at the meeting of the management group held in Oslo, it was decided that the memorandum of cooperation between the anti-doping organizations of Georgia and Norway will continue for another three years. Which means sharing work experience and retraining according to international standards for the agency's employees.In March of this year, during the annual symposium in the city of Lausanne, organized by the World Anti-Doping Agency, a meeting of the ruling group was held again, at which the draft of the memorandum was finally agreed upon and according to the years.A list of work items has been precisely drawn up, which will allow the agency to increase its anti-doping capabilities. A memorandum of cooperation was signed within the framework of the mentioned visit. The goal of the mentioned visit was to strengthen the anti-doping capabilities of the Georgian Anti-Doping Agency, governance, organizational structure and administration.During four days, employees of the Norwegian Anti-Doping Organization shared their experience and knowledge. They shared with the agency's employees. The following topics were discussed within the training session: 1.organum stewardship and foreign relations; 2.Relations with national sports federations and the Olympic Committee; 3. Ways of achieving operational independence;4.Budgeting and accountancy; 5.internal governance; 6.Importance of mandatory committees; 7.Disciplinary Council;8.Appeals Council; 9.Compliance and quality management system.
