The legal issues of the fight against doping will be regulated by the Law on Anti-Doping

The Draft Law on Sports, discussed with the III reading and adopted with 83 votes by the Parliament ensures the legal regulation of anti-doping issues.

Thus, the international commitment of Georgia is being fulfilled; the Draft regulates the legal framework regarding doping in sports.

As the Chair of the Sports Committee, Irakli Medzmariashvili underlined, the Draft enhances the anti-doping legal basis and clarifies the functions and duties of the parties engaged – Ministry, Anti-Doping Agency, and Sports Federations. The Draft is submitted for expedited consideration.
