World Anti-Doping Agency Annual Symposium

In March 14-15 2023 the annual symposium of the anti doping agency was held in Switzerland,Loussane, which the World Anti-Representatives of the doping agency, national anti-doping organizations, the International Olympic Committee and the International Sports Federation were attended. The vice-chairman of the agency and the head of the Anti-Doping program were sent from the Georgian Anti-Doping Agency to participate in the symposium.
21 sessions -meetings were held during the two days of symposium , according to the topic,Georgian Anti-Doping representatives were attended,Teimuraz ukleba has participated in the sessions which were related to the following issues.Teimuraz Ukleba participated in the sessions, which were related to the following issues:
compliance with the World Anti-Doping Code and international standards, management of the therapeutic use permit, management of the athlete's biological passport, management of results and familiarization with the list of prohibited substances and methods of 2023; Responsibility of governments in anti-doping activities;Privacy protection in anti-doping, education and implementation of the international standard of compliance with the Code; Support and prevention - increasing the role of education in anti-doping; The future of the global anti-doping system – 2030
Giorgi Ukleba participated in the following sessions: support for clean athletes - what further actions should be taken by the anti-doping community; Getting to know the governing bodies of the World Anti-Doping Agency; raising the awareness of decision makers about the importance of information gathering and research; Results-based approaches to anti-doping data processing;challenges and best practices; Prohibited List 2023; The future of the global anti-doping system-2030; Implementation of new functions of biological passport of athletes in practice, integration of DCO Central into the testing program; Data falsification after the fact.
I would also like to inform you that within the framework of the visit, the World Anti-Doping Agency organized a meeting of the representatives of the Georgian Anti-Doping Agency and the Norwegian Anti-Doping Organization, where a draft of a three-year memorandum of cooperation was developed. It was decided that the memorandum will be signed at the end of March during the working visit of representatives of the Norwegian Anti-Doping Organization to Tbilisi.
Also within the framework of the symposium, a meeting was held with the General Director of the International Testing Agency, Benjamin Cohen, and the Head of the Testing Department, Matteo Valini. At the mentioned meeting, it was decided that two international doping control officers of the Georgian Anti-Doping Agency will participate in the doping control testing process of the European Games to be held in Poland.
