Training for medical instructors
The amount of 10,000 US dollars was allocated for the project "Anti-doping educational training for medical instructors" by the Olympic Solidarity Fund, presented by the National Olympic Committee of Georgia.The goal of the project is to train sports-related medical professionals as anti-doping instructors, so that they can conduct anti-doping educational and informational instructions and provide new information to athletes and athletes' support staff.
In order to implement the project, on March 28-30, 2022, a seminar for anti-doping instructors was held on the territory of the New Vision Clinic in Tbilisi. The seminar was conducted by representatives of the Georgian Anti-Doping Agency and invited speakers. The invited guests included: Nena Dikić - the head of the Anti-Doping Agency of Serbia;Maria Andreakovic - Chair of the Therapeutic Committee of the Anti-Doping Agency of Serbia; Elena Archipi - Vice-Chair of the Anti-Doping Agency of Moldova; Areg Oganesiani - Chairman of the Anti-Doping Agency of Armenia.
35 students attended the seminar. March 28 and 29 were dedicated to training, and March 30 to testing and certification of trainees.
